    Welcome greenmoon 😊

MsAsk, how exciting, you must be dying to get your BT done!

Beanie, let us know how US/bloods go. Hopefully your levels indicate you can have a transfer.

Betty, sometimes crying comes at the weirdest times but its bound to happen with all the hormones they give us!

Rainbow, you can do it! I agree with vetttc, you'll feel a greater sense if control if you do it yourself. Let us know how you get on.

To all the other ladies I hope you have a good day tomorrow x

Wow such a busy thread!! Welcome to the new ladies! I hope this is your cycle!

sariele, hang in there...you're making progress even if it doesn't feel like things are always going your way.

Bindy111 - I feel for you, having to drive so much on top of everything else! The unpredictability of cycling sux, but you could also view it as a good thing that they are adjusting your treatment to give you the best chance of success. I don't have that wiggle room, so I could almost be jealous.

shell'80, my FS sees IVF patients in 10min blocks early in the morning. Most of my appointments, including blood tests, are before 8am. Let your clinic know you work fulltime so they can help you where they can.

AFM: I start jabbing on Thursday. I'm on a high dose (300) of gonal-f and looks like it will be 12 days of injections; last time I only had 4 follies after 10 days, although it was kind of ok as the cycle was cancelled so we didn't "lose" many eggs. I can only hope that if they find any of DH's sperm to use, I'll have enough eggs to meet all of them, because this could be the only time we see any. :s

Meanwhile, if anyone's wondering, it turns out I prefer the hot flushes caused by Synarel to happen in summer rather than in winter. I thought winter would be nicer because it would warm me up, but it turns out it's nicer to be dressed for hot flushes rather than having them hit you under several layers of clothing.

My hubby also does shift work and i do 6am starts so need to leave home 5am every week day😖. we have been lucky as his shifts never end later than 3 am and never start till 6am or 3 pm which still gets him home in time for jabs. i am so glad he can do them because i am a major needle phobe ! i close my eyes so i dont see the needle. QUOTE=rainbow road;7015140]I'm scared of needles. But DP does night shift sometimes so I am probably going to have to suck it up and do some myself![/QUOTE]

Wow so exciting, so many starting their meds at the same time!

For anyone who's feeling a little apprehensive, it really isn't as bad as you expect. Like all the other ladies, I was told to ice the area before hand if I was worried and to pinch the fat really tightly then once the meds are going in, release the fat.

The only one which gave me grief was the orgalutran needle as it was a bit thicker. That was the only injection I used ice for.

The prefilled pens are a breeze! I looked forward to doing it because it was the first time I actually felt in control throughout the process!

    Good luck ladies

Default January / February IVF cycle buddies: Lucky 2013!

Hi Girls I've been lurking on the thread waiting desperately to join in. I'm still waiting for my period which is frustrating as I have a drug that brings it on but for the first time it didn't work. Ringing my clinic today to see what to do. Work cleared my schedule for Jan but now I see this cycle heading into Feb and I'm meant to be away for the whole month so that's stressing me out a little.

Good luck to everyone in the 2ww! Msaskbelievereceive your test sounds very promising. Everything crossed for you x

Welcome green moon I'll probably end up cycling with you

Little sunflowers I laughed out loud with your hot flush preferences!!

Hope everyone is doing ok with the jabs! I'll keep you posted with what my clinic says

I agree they are definitely not as bad as I was expecting and you can tell the difference between not icing the area and icing it beforehand. I found the times I used a icepack for a minute on the area before the injection I would hardly feel a thing.and sometimes I would ask hubby to hurry up but he was finished the injection already! I think I am at the stage I am still new to this IVF thing and it's overwhelming, time consuming, exhausting and emotional! Though it's well worth it i think i actually prefer injections to the internal ultrasound which i found a little painful and uncomfortable, ah sigh one tomorrow morning again. there is definitely many of us starting this month and a few next month. Hoping to see lots of BfPs.
