    Thank you for your help.
    Found out today.
Costs for us is 9,190 and we will be out of pocket 4,956 first icsi cycle and also because it's the new year we haven't reached the threshold for Medicare

I second this Sariele! I know that you know the numbers don't indicate how successful each cycle will be. It's been a long journey but you're still on it...don't count the chickens into the negative before they hatch.

Friday 15th - basically two weeks. I might POAS before that but it will probably be the day before and mostly so that DH and I can get an idea of the result a little in advance. I've never been too tempted by those sticks...since starting TTC I've only done it three times, and once was right before I started an IVF cycle just to make sure there were no last-minute miracles.

I was hoping not to be too paranoid about the embryo but I'm already googling every food we have in the house, and wondering how I will know when the shower water is too hot for it. I do feel pretty relaxed though, which is good. We haven't quite taken in that after two years TTC (and many more wanting to be a parent) that tonight we can go to sleep knowing it could actually happen!

    Hi ladies,

I've been AWOL for a few days but thought I'd check in today.
Booked in for my EPU on Tuesday morning. They reckon I've got between 6-8 follicles in each ovary - is this good!??

But I'm excited that this means no more injections for the cycle, bar the booster at 10pm tonight! My poor little stomach resembles a pin cushion - did anyone else bruise with Orgalutran!?

Two Souls - I was on 150 for Gonal f. I was told that's the average so 200 seems pretty good, but I am definitely no expert as this is my first time!

Wishing you a speedy 2WW Clucky!!

Makiely - IVF/ICSI costs for us is 8,900 and we will be out of pocket 3,300 (for our first cycle). In addition to this, we have the day surgery costs plus the consultations etc before we started the cycle which is about another $1000. Our health insurance kicks in for this stuff but I'm not 100% sure about what we get back yet... not enough!

I should add that $11k includes hospital, anaesthetist and additional drugs (but I don't think I'll need them)
