Default January / February IVF cycle buddies: Lucky 2013!

I was a little naughty and did my Bhcg bloods at work today and they came back at 24 on 8dp3dt!! My first BFP and from only two eggs at EPU one little embie left after ICSI.
I have my clinic bloods fri so fingers crossed they keep multiplying. I am so scared that this won't last as it hasn't for so many others.

I found an awesome site called betabase for those in their 2ww with averages from a large group of women of bhcgs.

I am so sorry to those who haven't got their BFPs this month. My heart truly breaks for you.

Good luck to those jabbing and EPUing this week xx

    Amazing stuff Bindy!!
(Wish I could test at work though I'd prob be doing it every day!!)

Clucky, you should be ok to start testing in about 4 or 5 days -- just be mindful that if you do have a line it could still be residual hCG (probably not but could be) and you should keep testing to see if it gets darker. If you don't want that uncertainty though, best to wait until a day or two before your BT.

Good luck with your FET Tessa.

Hi everybody. I hope you don't mind me joining in, I have lots of catching up to do, seems like there is a lot going on! My hubby & I are doing our second ICSI attempt, Im jabbing at the moment. First scan is tomorrow morning, Im on 300 Gonal F this time, last time I started on 100, so hoping for more follicles. 1st round we ended up with 11 follicles from which we got 8 eggs, but only one fertilised FS is hoping that by upping the Gonal F we might get more eggs and therefore a higher number of embryo's. Thats the plan anyway! Good luck to those that are still in the game, and to those that have missed out this time I'm really truly sorry.

Thanks BETTY! I think I will hold out till the day before the BT, I didnt want to be stressing and upset at work all this week. Even though I would love to earlier. Though if I do get implantation bleeding I will POAS earlier . I just want it to be the 8th already. I really hope I'm not disappointed

Had ultrasound again today, only 3 on the right side and 1 on the left still under 18mm. This is after 10days of shots. I only got 5eggs last time so it's not surprising I guess. So FS wants to see me tomorrow to "discuss" cycle. Fell a bit disheartened, but know that god has everything at hand

Good luck to everyone at what ever stage your at, it's good hearing everyone's experiences.

Today is day 18 for me and we found out that we'll be having our FET on Monday
Couldn't agree more ladies - feeling a bit useless - although I had 5 blood tests in a row (as "they were almost seeing what they needed to see") which made me feel like I wasn't doing nothing iykwim.

In a strange way I am a bit jealous of those stabbing and sniffing and getting side effects - at least you know it is all for a great reason.

I have transfer on Saturday and pre transfer blood test on Friday, so we will all be TWW'ing together!!

So much happening - great news for those who are PUPO and sorry to hear about those with cancelled cycles or BFNs xxx

Knitting Nancy and MrsErinR.... it's interesting what you said about sniffing Syranel, as I haven't felt tired or anything different than normal. This is the first time I've had Syranel, so the instructionse said to pump it a couple of times until a fine mist comes out. I did that and the first three times I got that horrible taste/fume sensation in my nose and back of mouth that other people had complained about. However, for the past 5 days, I've sniffed as per usual but have had no taste or very little. Each time I think I've done it wrong, and have tried tipping my head forwards and backwards, tipping the bottle to the side etc, but nothing. I pretty sure I've done it right, but it's kind of weird. Do you get de-sensitised to it as you go along?

Sariele.... 5 eggs is great, so don't worry. They always say it's quality over quantity.

LittleSunflowers..... good luck for your EPU on Thursday and for your DH's procedure too. My DH and I will be thinking about the two of you. Just remind me which specialist is doing your DH's procedure, as I can't find where you said it?

MGC Bertie, I have the same issues as you with Synarel sometimes. Occasionally I'd get no taste at all and I'd spend the whole evening panicking about it. I felt very relieved today when my BT indicated it had done what it was supposed to.

One very tired morning I even tried to use it with the lid still on but fortunately realized. They should really make the lid a size that doesn't fit in your nostril!

My thoughts...you only need to prime it the first time you use it which i think is what you were saying you did? I gather that it needs to get to the blood vessels at the back of your nose so try not to inhale it to strongly. Also if you sneeze soon after it can be an issue too. Sorry if I'm telling you what you already know!

I found I did get a bit desensitized. Some times the taste was just worse than others...so hopefully that's what's happening.

    All the best :-)
