Default Anyone know how much laundry allowance is?

I just had a job interview and found out the pay is only $16.70ph!! (Crap for what I'm use to) but they pay laundry allowance. My friend said that should take my pay up to $18 ph or around that. I thought laundry allowance was day thing not a hour thing?

Is that FT!? What kind of work is it? I'd probably turn it down, you can earn more at your local McDonalds.

My laundry allowance works out to be 8.19 per fortnight for 56 hrs work. So 15 cents per hour or something. Mine is per hour

Rate seems a little low. Federal minimum is almost $16 per hour, and then there would be 15-25% loading on that for casual. Only you can know if it is worth it though.
