DD1 used to play up at bedtime. I made her a star chart and stuck it next to her bed and she had to go to sleep nicely for a week and then got to bake cupcakes with me at the end. She loved waking up and putting her star up in the morning if she was good the night before. If she start making noise I just had to tell her she wouldn't get a star and she stopped.

You did mention night terrors though. Do you think maybe she is scared to go to sleep?

Hope you work it out soon

That seems like a great idea... Im going to try that :-) Never thought that she would be.... Late after noon if we go out she will ask if she can fall asleep in the car... never usually has a problem.... i wonder if im putting her to bed to early... usually between 7:30-8 we have a night routine so it never changes. but any later than 8 she would sleep in

Maybe its too late if she is stopping her day sleep?

My two girls are like that now. If we leave them up later they are past tired and then can't sleep. My 4 year old does feel the need to argue with us about it every night. She would still be up at 10 if it was up to her!

Thanks ladies tonight was a sham but making her chart tomorrow. I am thinking 1 night down no screaming = baking then 2 nights down = baking and so on .. till 7 nights.. the only thing i know how to do well at the moment ( other than de cluttering ) so im sticking with that suggestion. I don't think she would respond with a reward at the end of the week straight away.
