Smile Are you a mother in paid employment? Chance to WIN a $100 Coles/Myer gift voucher

Are you a mother in paid employment?

How do you balance work and family roles?

Is it rewarding or challenging, or both?

I am a psychology PhD student and working mother of three at the University of Wollongong. I am studying the work and family experiences of mothers in paid employment, and how meeting these demands impacts on their health.

By completing the anonymous 30 minute survey, you can go into the draw for a chance to win one of six $100 Coles/Myer gift vouchers. This research has been approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee at the University of Wollongong.

To participate and share your experiences, and if you are in paid employment with a dependent child under 25 years, please go to the following link, where you will also be provided with more information about the study:

Thank you for you interest. Please feel free to share this survey with other parents. Any questions please contact me at laurar@uow.edu.au

    Kind regards,

    Laura

Thank you to all the wonderful women who have completed my survey, I really appreciate your time.

If you haven't had a chance to participate and would like to, I would love to hear about your experiences of balancing work and family. The survey is still open

Work and family can conflict with each other and also enrich each other (which I'm sure most working mums can agree with!). Researchers have found that both conflict and enrichment between work and family impacts on our health and our functioning as mothers; and therefore ultimately on our children's wellbeing. I aim to understand more about the situations in which working mums experience good health and poor health through my research.

    Cheers Laura
