Default What are some good children's Christmas movies?

My daughter is right into Christmas/Santa this year. Just wondering if you know any good DVDs I could get her. Thanks

The Shrek Christmas special "Shrek the Halls" is popular here, so is the Ice Age one (the name escapes me)
The ABC Shop usually have a Christmas DVD or two as well.

Disney has just bought out a double pack of little gnomes/Christmas elf DVDs I saw them in Coles today.
I don't know how old your daughter is but miracle on 34th street is pretty amazing - my son is 4&1/2 and really loved it last year - might be because I love it and he got to stay up late watching it on my knee lol.
I second the ice age Christmas one!
Also: it's a sponge bob Christmas, Mickey Mouse clubhouse have a Christmas one as does pooh and friends. Santa clause's are funny and my son loves them. He also likes Elf.
Polar express, the grinch, a muppet Christmas, shrek the halls, Barbie in a Christmas carol.... Umm ill keep thinking

My all time favourite as a kid was 'A Mom for Christmas'.

Default Re: What are some good children's Christmas movies?

Ernest saves Christmas was a favourite of mine when I was young.

There are actually 2 Christmas Muppet movies, one is the Christmas carol story and the other is an original tale, personally I prefer the Christmas carol, but if we're talking about a 4 year old out shouldn't matter.

There are some really old ones that might bring back memories of your childhood like frosty the snowman, Rudolph the red nosed reindeer and there's another that I can't remember the name of. Back in the day they used to play them early on Christmas morning.

Polar express is also a favourite of mine but I don't know if it would be as appealing to a 4 year old.

Don't let her watch the new cartoon version of A Christmas Carol with Jim Carey. I watched it alone last year and have not ever been creeped out by a movie like that one. Really dark and depressing and not for children!
