you normally get a pos OPK 24-36 hours before you o.
Some people get a test line that keeps getting darker and darker each day until pos, but some people just get the same darkness negatives for days in a row then Bam BFP randomly.
I have had both happen to me, but more often than not it is very neg for days on end then out of now a bfp, then I feel o pain about 24 hours later.

    Hope this helps.

just a question to all u ladies, when doing a opk does the test line always have to be the same colour or darker than the control line.
.I did an opk last month and i did get a darker colour test line but this month it was the same or even just a fraction lighter it could have been the lighting as well but never got darker at all

    help..

Opk question as I'm new to all this, I have been using opks (2 different brands)for a few days all negatives and yesterday I deffinately got a positive we bd last night (tmi sorry) now today when I tested it was negative is this right? Should I keep bd just in case?
    Any help

I gave up on OPKs (after only using them for 1 cycle) I only got a positive one day, had bd 2 days before, day of & 2 days after. It didn't work I started freaking out today because I'm scared I might o earlier & maybe I should use the opks... but I think I'm better off trying to be relaxed. tmi warning... cm is between sticky & creamy today, so hopefully it moves into ew by next Wednesday (wedding anniversary).

oh... and to answer your question... you can o between 24-48 hrs after the pos on opk (I think that's what I read), so I'd keep bd for a few days after. This cycle I plan to bd every 2nd day for the whole week before & after expected o (which I should be able to confirm with bbt)

So... I caved today & used an opk. It was negative (as expected), but the test line was nearly as dark as the control line, so o can't be too far off. Waiting waiting... work tomorrow, then two days off (for my wedding anniversary & lots of pre-o bding!), then two more days at work, then it's the weekend (time for more bd... should o between Fri & Sun)... then it's the tww until my BFP!!! (fx positive thinking = positive hpt!!!)
