Can you check if they are still on the ingredients list?
I have some chicken massel stock cubes and the ingredients are marine salt, corn maltodextrin, sugar, canola oil, natural vegetable flavours, yeast extract, dehydrated vegetable, disodium guanylate and inosinate, tumeric.

So still has the yeast extract. It claims on the front 'no trans fat'.

Sodium is 774mg per cube or 310mg per 100ml.
Got to say i'm a fan after reading the back of the packet either, goes to show i should pay more attention to what i buy.

Default healthy chicken and sweetcorn soup?

It is hard but I started being really fussy with label reading a few years ago and yes it cuts out most packet products but you do feel better for it!

I just spend a Sunday every couple of months making stocks and sauces and freeze them

Sorry, I don't count yeast extract as an msg type ingredient as DD does not react to it (or other high-glutamate foods), she only reacts to flavour enhancers (never wanted to torture her to work out exactly which number is the problem). But if you are concerned about glutamates in general then yes, possibly avoid Massel. The powder also has sugar (in a couple of forms) if that is a concern. I just know its a hellofaload better than maggi!

I always thought stock - by its nature - is high in salt. Whenever I've seen cooking shows make it they always add salt into the pot and I know the one time I ever tried to make it without salt it was pretty yuk.

Funny thing is Yeast Extract can be many things. Vegemite is yeast extract, so are vegan savory flakes. You cant tell if there is MSG just from the term yeast extract :-(

Watch the creamed corn for sodium too, I think it averages about 400mg per can!!! The stuff they can hide in a tin!

This is something from my mum. It tastes amazing...

You just cut up your chicken in little pieces and brown it off. Then put a packet of chicken noodle soup (made up as per instructions on the packet) add a can of creamed corn and cook and cook it all together. When the noodles are cooked turn the soup off, beat 3 eggs and drizzle this into soup slowly whilst you stir constantly but not to fast. The heat will cook the egg and that is it. Really easy.

I know I (and probably Zabella too) was replying to Elijah's Mum who refered to yeast extract with (MSG) in brackets after it.
