Default How long have you been a sahm

I'm coming up to my fifth year of being a sahm. I did work for about 3months but dd came with me (childcare worker) quit when i found out iwas preggas again. I was thinking about how long i've been at home for and 5 years has gone so fast i'm shocked. How long have you been a sahm.

I am going on to 3 years soon. Gosh has it been that long already!

I have no plans to go back, until all are at school. And then it will only be 1 or 2 days. For my own sanity really!!

I must be the winner of the "been a SAHM the longest" award. I finished a TAFE course in June 1996, couldn't find a job between then and when I fell pregnant in December 1996. DS was born in September 97, so I guess I've been a SAHM since 1996......making it 10yrs for me.
Will be a SAHM until this baby starts highschool in 2020, making me 43 with no work history, skills, experience or qualifications.

My bubs is 6 months old and I am lucky enough to have a wonderful mother in law who watches him 3 days a week if I get work (and usually do) as a relief teacher. And the agency that I work for finds me half days, so I am mostly a stay at home mum. I get paid $114 for three hours work, so it is worth it!
