    Default Bad form or ok?

A friend gave me some baby clothes and accessories all in excellent condition. I used some of the items and they are still in great condition so I asked her if she wanted the stuff back in case she has another bub. She said she didn't want any of it back. I'm going to give some of it away but there are a few things I'd like to sell on eBay. But it feels dodgy somehow! Bad form to sell something you were given, or acceptable?

I would feel guilty doing this but everyone is different. I would probably give to another mum, put on gumtree for a family in need or give to charity. Just in case I would also say to the person who gave me the gear, 'i am planning to ......... with the gear you gave me, is that okay?'

I'd ask. I'd probably just give them away.

I'd absolutely ask the friend first!!
I would be a very miffed if I found out a friend sold the clothes I gave her. But passing them on or donating to charity would be fine by me.

I would give the clothes away you were given. Unless they didn't care about you selling.

    Don't sell them

Pay it forward and give them away with a happy heart in the same way as they were passed to you

    Default Bad form or ok?

This happened to me. I gave all my dds clothes to a friend as they had their first bubs. They went on and on saying that they had nothing so were very grateful.

I found out a few weeks ago that she said to a mutual friend that she had so many clothes that she gave them to a friend of hers as she was having a garage sale and could sell the stuff there.

I was mighty ****ed. I was originally going to sell the good stuff and donate the rest but thought they could use them.

All I would have liked was a 'we have so much stuff, do you want it back or can I sell it/get rid of it?' Ding it they way they did and me finding out just made me feel they didn't appreciate the clothes I gave them and I wished I hadn't given them anything.

So my advise? Just ask your friend if she wants it back or does she mind you selling it. Can't hurt and there is no bad feelings then.

I don't think it's good form to profit from someone else's generosity.
Give them away to charity or sell them and give the money to charity.
