    Default How to get diagnosis?

    Hi,

I have just had a Chemical pregnancy from my first IVF cycle. This is my 2nd CP

I would like to look into whether i have high NKC. I have no idea how to go about it, do i just ask my FS to test for this or will i need to be referred on to someone else?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Sorry about your chem pg. ask your FS to test for immune issues including NK cells. Many wont test until 3 implantation failures but there's no harm in asking.

    Who is your FS/ clinic?

I'm with them too and they were very reluctant to test me. I had 6 failed transfers with them before I saw an immunologist and got a bfp. Be prepared to really push. Dr Mcdonald is a bit more open to it from what I've heard. I'm with dr Benny. Pm me if u want more info

Thanks, I'm with Dr McDonald. So hopefully I will have some luck.

Was it just your failure to implant that prompted you to look into immune issues? Or did you have other symptoms as well?

Just the implantation failure. Everything else was fine. Great embryos but no baby. I had 2 chems on their luteal protocol and that indicated to me it might be an immune issue so I researched heaps and finally got the answer I was looking for.

    Hi collz,

Sorry for your chemical. It's never an easy road.

I think if does depend on who your fs is, mainly because they will have their own 'method to their madness' so to speak.

Thankfully mine did believe that high killer cells can be a problem.

I am not sure where you are located but I think there are only a few fs that treat for it. Dr Mathews being one.

My fs was prof Kee Ong. Cannot speak highly enough of him. He started treating me as if I had it after my second failed transfer. He doesn't mess around which I liked. Check him out if u like.

Best of luck!! You will get there! X
