Does she have a desk? I'm thinking about getting my 6.5 yr old DD a desk and chair so has somewhere to do her drawings.
    New bed set

Recommend the Alice-Miranda books by Jacqueline Somebody-or-other.
I'm going with an iPad thingy. Along with lip gloss, swimmers, beach towel.

She's also a bit timid around animals. I think if I organised her to ride a horse, we'd spend most of the time trying to coax her to get on a horse. Small animals yes, bigger animals... not so much her thing. lol. She's more of a looker than a toucher for the big ones.
Our DD's could not be more opposite. Mine lives outdoors and dreams of owning her own horse. No help from me I'm afraid

Default Re: 7-year-old Christmas present ideas... HELP!

How about just a small gift and then taking her "out" for her birthday? Something different... Depends what you've done or where you've been already obviously. From memory you're brisbane area (me too).. What about a trip to Australia zoo, currumbin or similar? Trip on the train, day out to the city?

If it's affordable, one night stay at a farm stay would be fun or just a Mummy /daughter stay over at a hotel would be awesome. You could go out for dinner near the hotel or order in, then eat lots of junky foods in front of the tellie, I would have loved that as a little girl!

Default 7-year-old Christmas present ideas... HELP!

    Without reading the other responses and having the same issue with my DD this Xmas, I'll share what I'm thinking;
Furby - new one looks so cool and will give DD 'someone' to play with
New school bag, lunch box etc, she loves school so school stuff is actually exciting to her.
She loves the Geronimo Stilton series and I have found sets in Target so few of them.
    Clothes as usual
    Blingo and Jellies
Totem tennis and/or soccer set, my DD is also unco despite being a good dancer but figure she may be able to do these haha

Umm I think that's it for now, she also has every gadget you can imagine so I'm not buying anything electronic other than furby.

DD1 is turning 7yo soon I ordered her a mermaid cabbage patch kid from Amazon.com cheaper then buying here. Other than that she's getting some clothes and a bag.

For Christmas so far she has a flying Tinkerbell and it's from DS because they're on sale at target so I'm hopeless. I've got no real other ideas.

I think you're near north lakes from memory have you been into riot? I bought some cool rainbow pinwheels from them recently for only a couple of dollars and ended up getting a membership card. Some of the things in their newletter emails have been great I'm just waiting for DD2 to get over her cold so we can go down and get some stuff.
