    Thanks for all the advice my throat feels heaps better now I just have the stuffy nose and sore head hopefully I get over this pretty quickly

    OTC sudafed has Phenylephrine in it. It's works the same as pseudo by constricting blood vessels. It is not indicated for use in pregnancy, I believe it is CatC.

    Paracetamol and some nasal sprays are safe.

    It is cat c, but my dr told me it was safe, and believed the risks of taking the meds outweighed the risks of the illness, I was in the second trimester though so the risk was lower.

    Drugs in pregnancy always come down to benefit outweighing the risk. I wouldn't recommend it to reduce the symptoms of a common cold, maybe something more severe. There are safer options. Just my personal and professional opinion though and I'm no doctor.
