Default Sort of spin off from the toilet mat thread*

The toilet mat thread had me thinking... What things do you find gross at other people's houses?

    For me...
Bar soap, no hand towel, letting pets eat off dinnerware and people that just rinse dirty dishes and consider them clean. There's probably other things that aren't coming to mind.

Oops, I have no hand towel in our guest bathroom because our cats either pull it off the rail or sleep on it if I leave it folded on the bench. Our regular guests are just used to it now they know they have to either use the one in the kitchen or their jeans!

Eeew yes, bar soap. Though I don't know many people that use this these days.
Pets on the kitchen bench while cooking/serving food.
Dirty disposable nappies placed unwrapped in the kitchen bin.

Can't think of much else actually. Except food hygiene. Poor food hygiene really gets to me.

These threads always make me glad I never have visitors.

I find hand towels yucky, particularly if they are wet after a few guests have gone to the bathroom. Would rather dry my hands on my clothes.

    Crusty eating utensils.
    Smelly couches.
    Smoking inside and dirty ashtrays.
Kitty litter (I would never own a cat, yuck!)

I visited a friend a while back and she wiped up bin juice spill on the floor with her dish sponge and chucked the sponge in the sink and left it. I silently freaked out on the inside.

We don't have hand towels here, I use paper towel to dry my hands. I think hand towels are a bit gross.

But I think it's gross when you need to dry your hands and you get given a tea towel. Eww and no thanks.....

Actually tea towels are disgusting. Eww.
