I can see a line Shadow

As far as the faint lines on FRER go, there seems to be an indentation on the strip where the receptors go, and it can be taken for an uber-faint line sometimes, especially when the tests are taken apart xxx

For those who were interested in the Digital tests, I found the tech spec...
    Not Pregnant (0 mIU/ml), Pregnant 1-2 weeks (25 mIU/ml), Pregnant 2-3 weeks (200 mIU/ml) and
    Pregnant 3+ weeks (20000 mIU/ml)

The 3+ weeks one has a typo, should be 2000 rather than 20,000

Mumsical - what they normally pick up (if they're going to pick up the wrong thing) is LH - so what you really need to do is get a definitely non-preggers female friend to pee on one for you as most women have some LH in their system all the time but blokes won't.

The reason being is that LH and HcG are really really structurally similar - I've seen a good analogy as that they are like twins - only the HcG twin has a little hat on. LH tests look for the body of the twin so they pick up both LH and HcG (why you can use OPKs as preg tests) but HcG tests *should* just look for the hat. It is suspected that a lot of the el cheapo HcG tests these days coming out of China are actually just less sensitive LH tests (so that they won't pick up the background levels of LH current in pee around period time, but it there's HcG there are well there should (might) be enough to trigger the receptors...).

    Hope that made sense!!

Shadow - i can easily see your line! Yay

Caitkin - your hat analogy is too funny lol. I was wondering if something like that might be up with this particular cheapie... Now i just need to find a female who is not already pregnant or menopausal... That will be tricky!

Thanks ladies. Good to know I'm not seeing things!

Ill leave it till saturday to retest if af isn't here. I'm not sure what a "normal" cycle is for me atm. Before ds it was up to 35 days. I've been on bc pill since he was 4 weeks. Last month was my first month off it, I had a 29 day cycle but also had a chem... So not sure if its my new normal (if so af due today or tomorrow) our if the chem caused the short cycle. I guess I will know soon enough.

Mum2lil13 - im now convinced that these FRER faint lines are just the indent lines and not faint positives as we hope . I am 11dpo today and still getting the same line. My temp dropped to my normal menstral temp today so i am guessing AF will be here soon. There are just too many of us getting the same super faint test results and unless they get darker the next day then i think that we arent pregnant. Here is my test this morning:
