Default Same name as cousin a bad idea?

When I fell pregnant we made a deal that if it was a girl I can choose the name and if its a boy my husband can decide... Turns out we're having a beautiful little boy but the thing is my husband wants to call him Daniel even though we both have cousins named Daniel! When I think about different names to suggest to him I can't get passed Daniel, it just feels right like its meant to be but not sure whether we can call him that or not?

Default Same name as cousin a bad idea?

If it feels right then do it

Unless you literally saw the cousins very regularly, I can't see a problem.

I don't really know many of my cousins, but understand not all families are as seperate as ours is. I would do it.. If u like the name why not?

Go for it! I named my DD almost exactly the same name as one of my cousins, and there hasn't been a problem at all.

DS1 has the same name as one of my cousins and DS2 was very nearly named after another cousin - they're brothers. That was a bit weird for me which put me off. But I actually don't see a problem with it.

My rule is, if they don't live in the same house then any name goes.
Exception is naming a son or daughter after a parent then same name is cool too.
