Oh thank god. Was more that I didn't want the republicans in what with their stupid statements about rape, abortion and contraception.

I think the comment "women's body can shut down and avoid pregnant after a legitimate rape" really took the cake.

yeah .. I'd agree with PPosters who have said relieved more than surprised ..

Romney is a twit ... ( and I didn't even know about the supposed dog incident .. sigh) - the rape/ sexual consent/ rape related pregnancy comments were the ones that blew me away ..

I do think that lots of Americans are unhappy with Obama atm .. but then a lot of Americans are also too lazy to vote ...

I watched a show on ABC last night about the election .. and a group of drunken men were shouting "no obama .. no obama" .. and she asked them if they voted for Obama last election .. which they replied no - but she didn't clarify if they voted at all ... I bet they just whinge about the situation - and dont both voting ..

    Default Barack Obama re-elected, surprised?

I'm also relieved its Obama again. Romney is... I can't even think of the right word but its not a nice word lol. Obama is trying to publicise health care, which will be the best thing that's ever happened to that country since Reagan wanted to introduce it in the 60s (sorry if that's the wrong decade!) but the health insurers vetoed it cos of money. Just think how much more expensive iVf and assisted fertility would be without Medicare and not being allowed to have pre-existing conditions before taking out insurance!

Romney is to the USA what Abbott is to Australia!

    Agreed kw123

Why anyone would ever want to vote for a right winged looney, (or to the right at all) is beyond me.

Did anyone else see the article on news.com.au about Americans tweeting that if Obama wins they're moving to Australia so they don't live in a communist country...

There are some first class idiots out there!!!

It was a firm reminder though how extremely conservative some whole states USA really are...in a seriously scary way!
