    Default Christmas Lunch

Has anyone started planning their Christmas lunch yet? We are having 16 family and friends to ours this year Its going to be lovely. Its usually just a few of us as half our family lives overseas and my mother usually "owns" Christmas lunch at her place. Im really excited to be having a "big" gathering by our standards and to be having it at our place.

We've already decided on a roast pork and a ham in the webber - but now I need ideas for the rest - including some things to "farm out" to the others.

    Suggestions welcome!!

We are having roast pork and veg, cold ham of the bone and a garden salad, with plum pudding and custard. Simple but so yummy...

Thinking it'll be just DH and I this year, along with possibly his brother. Last year I did a roast lamb, with peas and beans, scalloped potatoes and mushroom gravy. Oh, and roast pumpkin, potato and sweet potato. Thinking it'll be similar this year, as we don't do roasts very often and I only do the full spread for big occasions. Looking forward to it, love Christmas!

This year, Xmas is at my parent's place- by the beach yay!
We will have a mix of hot and cold
    nibblies (cheese, olives etc)
    turkey
crackling (you can buy cracking on its own, which I think is fab as we don't cook a pork leg)
    Whole cold ham
traditional potato salad (dill, spring onions, parsley and so on)
green bean salad with lemon zest
    oysters (with eschallot vinagrette)
prawns with my nan's cocktail sauce (tomato sauce, cream and worcheshire)
DH makes the xmas pud, with brandy butter and cream on the side
Mum makes pav with cream, passionfruit and strawbs on top
    Lots of bubbly
    Afternoon snooze.

I can't wait for xmas day lunch
