    Thanks ladies!

I suspect I have quite a short surge, and I was only testing once a day - the "almost" tests were about 32 hours apart. Do opk's show a fairly strong (but not pos) line on the other side of your surge - or does it just disappear after you've O'd?

I think it's the EWCM that has me confused, I normally only get it for a couple of days when I'm Oing, then nothing for the rest of the cycle.

Poor hubby is exhausted already! He has a low sperm count, so I'm not sure dtd every day, even around O time is the best thing

U can dip it in a cup-I do but it should change the result as either way HCG is present mid ****** or in a cup

Edit: it SHOULDN'T change the result**

I'm the same as you shadow, 4-5dpo. I thought maybe with the lead up to xmas I'd be too busy to think about it but no! Bought some frer yesterday and am already deciding when to test. I was planning to hold out to xmas day but not sure if I can. How about you, when are you going to start testing?

    Congratulations on your plan2bamummy!!

"official" testing day for me today - CD28.
Zip - Nada - Nothing Not even the faintest smudge of a line.
Blood test confirmed I O'd so if AF is coming she'll be here in a day or two I guess. I'm not gonna say I feel pregnant .... but I also don't have any of the usual signs of AF coming.

So technically not out of the running yet.... here's hoping! Lol.
