I know a lovely Indy and totally see it as a name in its own right. Love Penny too. I actually think that Penny is more of a nickname than Indy!

I have a kailey, one thing I have noticed is there has been at least one Hayley in every year of my daughters schools. I would need to consider wether that would bother me.

I love Indy but wonder if it works for an adult? I remember reading once, think of a doctor or a solicitor with the name.... I like something like Indy-rose but think it maybe too young sounding?

Thank you all for the replies
I have talked to DH about the longers version of Indy and he really doesnt like any of them!!
I agree Penny is a bit nicknamey but I love it but strangely really! dislike Penelope.
So at this stage it would be the shorter versions of Penny or Indy

Would love to hear anymore opinions

I like pp name suggestion that she had - India-rose sound very beautiful ang special.

    I also like indigo.

But I'm a fan of the proper( don't mean that to sound rude- I mean fuller) name even if you're going to shorten to Indy.

Eg partner likes josh but I would only have it if full name was Joshua. Even if we always called him josh. I just think the original name will be better standing in future career paths etc xx

I think Indy is gorgeous and definitely a name in its own-right... Let us know what you decide
