    Default NZ Snow Trip

I am after some advice from people who may have done a similar thing before.

I am looking at travelling to New Zealand next year with my son to see the snow, thinking of staying about a week. I know nothing about it though.

    Please share tips/experiences.

We've done NZ about 4 times - stayed in Queenstown area for the best access to snowfields - Remarkables, Coronet Peak, etc. We haven't been with kids yet though!

We're going again next year (so we might see you there, lol!). - And next year we'll have a 2.5 year old and a 4 month old.... craaaaazy...!

We wanted to go to the snow in Aus this year with our 2yo, but got pregnant and other stuff that pushed it back a year.

So I don't really know anything about snow holidays with a kid. We're just going to take it easy. We know the logistics of travelling with kids so we'll just be "having fun" playing in the snow, maybe a day of childcare so we can ski for a few hours. But we realise that holidays now with small children will have to be tailored towards small doses of fun, with time for sleeps, feeds, etc..

So yep - trying not to think too much about it. We'll just go and not plan things, just see how the kids go and see how the weather is, etc, and plan it day by day. As long as we're all together for a family holiday, I'm sure we can still have fun mucking around.
