Default Barbies (the doll), love 'em or hate 'em

My two girls 3&5 have them and like playing with them. I had only a couple when I was little but was soooo envious of my friends barbie house- I'd always want to go there and play with them

My girls just play with them the way they would any doll- swapping clothes and playing out little scenes so I don't see a problem with them... However in truth I am secretly jealous of their perfect looks and lovely long hair! Lol :-//

Default Barbies (the doll), love 'em or hate 'em

I only had 2 Barbies growing up. 1 of them mum got with a weekly Barbie magazine to collect. Each week it had a different outfit and the magazine matched the outfit. One had a magazine on Africa and a safari outfit for example. She collected them weekly and gave them to me in a big bundle at Christmas when I was maybe 5. The other was gymnastics Barbie and that rocked as I also got a Barbie horse and she was the only Barbie who would sit on the horse properly. I think my brothers ended up playing with them more than me haha
And I lost the head of one of them for about a year. We took her down to the creek to play when there was water in it one day. Her head came off (probably very assisted by a brother of mine) and it floated and disappeared. We found it about a year later and it was fine :-)

I would prefer to buy Barbies for my kids than the super sk@nky wanna be Barbies that are out these days :-)

I hate Bratz, but I'm very fond of Monster High dolls. DS2 has several and some of them are strangely beautiful.

I see this as a non issue, and think people think too much about things!

    They are fine
