Default How much do you spend on groceries?

We spend about $200 a week.

We don't buy a lot of meat or cleaning products and we make our own soft drink and our own bread when I can be bothered. I make all snacks myself as well. All veggies, fruit and eggs come from the market.

We just eat a lot of food...

These threads always make me wonder what I am doing wrong..

My Budget is Up to $300 at woolies, up to $100 at The Butcher a week. That's for 3 adults.

In the $300 there is Feed & littler for 4 cats, At least $30-$40 of vitamins for my mum a month. I sop every 2-3 days for fresh veg, bread & lunch meat (budgeted) But we do tend to buy more expensive cleaning items and we also drink around 14-16L of milk a week Plus more if I use it in cooking.

My fortnightly spend has gone through the roof. Only a few years ago I could do it for 170 f/n. I have been spending for the last 2 months $300 f/n for 4 adults and 4 kids. Hopefully with my new budget it will be back around $200 f/n for 3 adults and 4 kids with just extra adult once a week.

Looking at some people's food budget I'm beginning to think the same. I buy one orange power multi-purpose spray every couple of months and very rarely any other cleaning products (apart from eucalyptus oil/vinegar/bicarb which all last ages and ages).. so no cleaning product expenses. I don't have disposable nappy costs. No pads to add to the expense. No pre-made food.

Our groceries are $200-$250 a week. For 2 Adults, 1 Toddler, 1 Large Dog and 1 Cat.

I don't know how you guys do it. I need some serious grocery revamping clearly.

It varies but atm the average is about $200 per week. That is for for 2 adults, 2 children. Even with our own fruit trees/veggie patch, not buying cleaning products, meal planning etc we still always end up spending lots on groceries. We could live off less but we enjoy food and would feel deprived.

I make most snacks from scratch, no packet mixes, rarely boxed snacks, I make my own yoghurt as well. We are not big meat eaters, a whole rump costing about $65 lasts us 3 months. Milk is our biggest expense, I live in a house full of milk addicts, we spend over $25 a week on milk.

Around $250 for 5 days then add another $100 onto that for the weekend (we have takeaway once a week, usually thai which can be quite expensive) some weeks it's less - around $150 - $200 if we buy more no brand stuff & cheaper cuts meat etc. We usually eat pretty healthy which can get expensive.

That's to feed 2 adults, 3 kids (one who is on formula & in nappies) 5 dogs (who are fed BARF) & 2 cats

We spend $150-200 a fortnight. That's meat from a butcher, fruit/veg from our awesome 24 hr fruit/veg shop! And the rest from Coles.
    That's for 2 adults and a cat
