DS was one 2 days ago an we bought him a push along trike, duplo (still a little young for it) and leap frog music table. He got heaps of books, puzzles, little toy cars, clothes and shoes which I really appreciated.

Default 1 year old present ideas..

Hi! my twinnies just turned 1 yesterday and both myself and my bubs love what we bought for them! DS in particular loves his wackyball toy. It has 4 balls on the top and a hammer and you hit the balls thru the hole and they drop down the ball run and come out the bottom. We also bought a Martian moon house from early learning centre & he loves it!! Actually his twin sister does too as does my almost 4 year old!! Some longevity there I think! Haha. They also got a leap frog octopus ball game, Viking city water play table, imaginarium bouncy horse for when he's a bit bigger, and a beautiful collection of stories for boys as we are starting a collection of books for him that we will add to each birthday. Twin Dd also loves her rocking elephant (from toys r us). Another idea, do you have a push walker, or the elefun ball elephant (blows the balls out of his trunk). DS loves these and also absolutely loves the fisher price laugh & learn learning home. He loves going back and forth through the doorway and it's good for him to use as a standing aid. Something ride on too is another fave here =) hope there's some ok ideas for you!! Lol

I think the main idea of all the gifts suggested is that bubs of that age love things that they can push or pull, move up and down, spin, crawl through, stand at or that have some kind of cause and effect i.e they press a button and a cool sound is made etc. there are loads and loads or toys like this!!! Lol. We found it fun just wandering through lots of different toy shops and plating with things until we found things we liked. Actually, we spent a lot more time in the independent type toy stores this time rather than the main ****** stores and found some really lovely toys! Don't forget online toy stores too. We manged to get 25% of the early learning centre toys by being on their mailing list (email) and watching for the specials. Better yet they were delivered to our door!! Good luck, it's fun toy shopping!! Can't wait for Christmas now!!! =)
