Red face "Love You Forever" Am I the only person who was turned into a blubbering mess?

I read DS this book the other night and I couldn't even get past the first page without my voice cracking up. By half way I had tears pouring down my face and I was an absolute mess by the end of the book. Am I just a big sook or did this happen to anyone else?

Sorry, I know this is lame, but that book creeps me out! His mum drives across town, climbs a ladder and peeps on him sleeping?!?! Lol

I haven't read it, but just your post made me know I would choke up with tears if I were to read it to my DS!

By the looks of it I'd be a gonner if I read it to DS. I get a lump in my throat singing nursery rhymes, I'd have no hope of getting through that one!

I can't open the link on my phone, but is that the one where she has a son and he grows up throughout the book ?

My mother used to read this book to me as a child. I now read the exact same book to my children.

It has changed slightly from the mum climbing through his window at night when he is a grown man (bit creepy lol) to unlock the door and go in etc.

Love love love it. Childhood favourite and still my favourite.

    I'll love you for forever,
    I'll like you for always,
    As long as I'm living,
    My baby you'll be...

    :,( makes me cry everytime.

Great book to help your child understand ageing and the love between mother and child.

Gah, stop it! I'm blinking away the tears when I just read that.

The climbing through the window bit was a bit weird but I was so teary and emotional by that stage.
