    Default town house or house?

we are moving very soon and cant decide what one to move to. There is only 3 of us.. maybe trying for baby 2 in the next 2 years. For the price we want to pay we can either get one old house or one new townhouse. I do love the idea of having a yard but a town house seems more our size and the set up (bedrooms up stairs living down) is perfect for my dp as she works during the night so we wouldnt disturb her. would love to hear your thoughts and experiences.

Is the townhouse near any parks for the kids? Does it have any yard at all?

To be honest I think you'd miss not having a yard. That'd be a big turn off for me as would having a pool in the complex.

    Default town house or house?

House!! I lived in a townhouse once and I hated it (creaky floors), hot in summer etc.. I know new ones aren't like this but just a few considerations.

We were fortunate to have the end one with the biggest yard but still missed having a big home!

We're currently renting a townhouse and as much as I love it, I would rather buy a house. A townhouse is alot more limited with options than a house.

    Default town house or house?

I would personally prefer an older house than a nicer townhouse.

I don't like living too close to others (speaking from years of personal experience sharing common walls).

HOUSE!! My eldest is nearly 6 and I'm about to buy a house finally after living in an apartment since DS was born. The older kids get, you really notice how bored and cooped in they get without a yard to go out to. We've always lived near parks and stuff, and the apartment complex had a pool too, but there's only so long you can be out during the day and you can't spend all day at the pool. There's a hell of a lot of hours in between when you're home!
