Default Best wrap for new baby

Hi guys, I've been reading the thread about the woven wraps and it got me wondering what I should get for my new baby. It's due in May.
I'm an experienced sling and ergo user and have always used a ring sling for bubs when they are little then moved to an ergo style carrier. But this time I was thinking of getting a wrap as I find the sling a bit rough on my shoulder. Firstly, should I go the soft tshirt material ones or the woven wrap? Then secondly which brand is the best? I was thinking hugabub or most but don't know which is better or if there is another brand that is better than either. Then I also saw a thread here about a wrap style thingy that is already tied and you tighten it by pulling the threads through the rings. They looked ok but looked like the weight was very much on the shoulders a la baby bjorn, rather than on my hips like the ergo.

    Any advice welcome!

I have a hug a bub, but apparently the caboo close carrier (it's had a name change, not sure what it is now) is very similar but less fiddly and easier to use?

boba have wraps which are really cheap and very similar to hab. I have a boba ssc and love it.

I've only tried a Moby but I think it's brilliant. It's 100% jersey cotton, but its quite a stuff jersey. Just enough stretch to be comfortable and never floppy.

A stretchy wrap is fantastic for newborns. If you don't want to pay a lot for it you can DIY - just google "homemade stretchy wrap"

If you wanted to go with a woven wrap one of the silk blends would be wonderful for a newborn - I have a Didymos Leander Silk Waves that I am saving for my next bub. I've heard some great things about bamboo as well.
