Default When did you start taking your newborn out?

Default When did you start taking your newborn out?

We considered going to an early dinner 14 hours after ds3 was born as we had family from overseas who were leaving the next day. The only reason we didn't was because we thought it may be a bit much for our older two boys, they needed to get used to their big brother. I also didn't want everyone holding him (there would have been around 30 ppl there)...ds1 we went out to lunch on day 4. Ds2 I can't remember, I think we went shopping on day 2 or so.

At 4 days old we took DS out to a restaurant for my mums birthday. Didn't even really think about it. I felt so good and really wanted to keep life as same as possible.

5 days old - trip to the chemist. Then couple of trips to supermarket after week 1.

    Also at 2 weeks - her great grandmas 80th & a christening.

For the first few months I would keep her in her capsule with Muslim wrap over so people wouldn't look in or touch/breathe on her & at the parties we kept her away from the main areas.

On the way home from hospital and pretty much everyday after that at least for a walk. I would go crazy at home.

DS1 we had to stop at shops on the way home from hospital when he was about 72 hours old cos we had no clothes small enough to fit him. And I went out pretty much everyday.

DS2 was a difficult labour, so I spent most of the first week at home just laying in bed with him. I think he was 6 days old.

DS was almost 2 weeks old! When he was first born he spent a week in the hospital for jaundice and we had to take him to a follow up appointment at the hospital a couple of days later. If that hadnt of happened we would have taken him food shopping straight away
