    Default When did you start taking your newborn out?

    With DS i took him out shopping etc at 3 weeks.
    DD is 2 weeks and i really feel like going to the shops for a walk but everyone in the family reckons 6 weeks?!!

    Two days old I think it was for our ds!

    We did an emergency dash to woolies the day we got out of hospital DS would have been 2 days old I think he was about 2 weeks when we went out shopping properly with him

    We went food shopping on the way home from hospital! Do what feels right for you op. I would go crazy staying at home for 6 weeks.

    4 days walking .. 6 days a cafe .. Shopping centre 2 weeks .. If I had another I would wait 6 weeks .. So much whooping cough at the moment .. My girl 3 .5 yrs has 3 friends all vax with whooping cough ..

    The day we left hospital.

    Then every day after that. It was important for me to get out and about. I started with really small trips and gradually built up to longer expeditions.

    This was me too but as said you have to do what you think is right and based on how you are feeling

    DD was 2 days. It wasn't much but I needed to move about. I agree, 6wks would send me stir crazy

    We did a shop at about 2 weeks, maybe just under. I learned very quickly how heavy a 9 pound baby gets after carrying him the entire shop.
