Default Bebi drinks. What do think?

Babies don't need juice. DS is 3 and has never had juice, so no way in hell would I buy this for 8mo DD!!! Wrong. So so wrong.

I don't really like them. I don't like the use of teats except for milk/formula and I think the idea of giving babies flavored water is ridiculous and a pretty awful precedent to set so early on.

I agree with a PP that I also just used to buy a pump water to share with DD. also in a one off emergency (gone shopping and forgot a bottle is I guess all I can think of) then surely just buy any bottled water or surely using tap water in Australia as a once wont cause harm. I think we go a bit stupid over making sure everything our precious babies come into contact with is sterilized 100% of the time. If your going to give your child juice at 6 months I think it's safe to say the juice will have more negative effects than what unsteralised water would have on a 6plus month old.

Also if your giving water, juice or anything else other than formula or BM to a 6plus month old then I don't understand why you would be giving it via a bottle anyway. Would make more sense if they put a sippy cup teat on it. Isn't that why the those little pop tops that come with water or juice are so popular anyway? Because they are a small size and easy for kids to drink from. There is also another brand of fruit drink in a talk thin bottle (can't remember the name) that has cartoon characters on it. I let DD have one of them once as a treat and she threw it up everywhere. Never again. there is already so much of this crsp on the market for toddlers to take it to the level of babies just infuriates me. This is our next generation we are meant to be caring for

Great outcome. Shocked they were in on the shelves in the first place!
