Default Students - what you you like having?

What combination did you find useful in general life and while studying out of desktop, laptop/notebook/netbook/ultrabook etc, Ipad/other tablet etc or Ereader?

I have a desktop already that I'm happy with but want to get something else more portable.

I have a laptop and an iPad. To be honest the laptop frustrates the hell out of me and only gets used to back up the iPad, DS iPad and my phone. I wish I had a desktop.

I guess it depends what you want to do on it. I have apps that enable me to do presentations, word documents, PDFs, so my iPad is basically my computer these days.

I have the "Apple ecosystem" set up. I have an iMac, MacBook Air, iPad and an iPhone. I use iCloud to sync all my work. I find it extremely useful as all my devices automatically saves the work I've done so I can hop between devices without too much trouble.

A small NetBook is the best ( mini laptop ), because you get a lot of portability, Windows ( large variety of programs) and also, the batteries can last for 6 hours which is much more than a normal laptop which maxes out at about 2 hours

thanks everyone. I would love to have an apple ecosystem lol. I do love my desktop its a acer though. When I upgrade not for a while yet though I will get a imac. Is it wrong of my to want an ipad and a macbook air lol feels excessive. I'm thinking an ipad because I have my desktop for assignment writting and exam revision notes.

I have a MacBook that I use as a desktop setup by plugging it into a monitor and having a wireless keyboard/mouse. It was great when I was at uni, because I could unplug the laptop and take it to uni etc but then had the large screen and better ergonomics of the separate keyboard/mouse to sit at my desk. I have an iPhone which study wise was only used to keep my prac shifts, work shifts, follow through appointments etc in sync with the calendar I had on the computer.

Having the two screens was awesome as I'd has a research article open on one screen and word on the other screen Was the best of both world in my opinion
