    Default Delay cord clamping

My cousin is considering dcc for her twins. She is having difficult finding evidence to support benefits. Can anyone share some links so I can give to her

Don't have any links sorry but delayed clamping is done as routine at the hospital i'm going to so maybe get her to just check with her ob or hospital

I'd say don't risk it. My mate did it and her baby ended up having to go into hospital urgently to have some weird blood transfusion thing as he had 'too much' in his body due to delayed chord clamping. Was awful

With my example I think it was left for quite a long time though! I don't know how long exactly, it was a home birth.

Prof John Newhnam is the guru on obstetric research n he thinks a delay by one minute can make all the difference, but trials to make definite conclusions still need doing
