Default Pap smears - do u prefer male or female drs?

Quick question, do male doctors have to have a nurse with them?

Some do, I think most these days do like to have a nurse there.

    On a side note.
I went in to have a pap once, my usual dr was booked out (female) and I went in to see a different dr (female)
When I said I was there for a Pap smear she almost tried to talk me out of it! It was very weird, in the end she said she didn't feel comfortable doing Pap smears and for me to either have one of the other female drs do it or to wait for my usual GP.
I was quite furious really, the next day I went to a completely different dr (female) and she did my pap, lucky because it came back positive for pre cancer cells, i always avoided paps as they hurt and i was always just opted for females, for personal reasons.
I was referred to the hospital for a colposcopy and had a male who was extremely gentle and very reassuring, a few month later I had a gyne operation and he was male, I found the males to be very gentle.
I have to go up to the hospital every 4 months now and I have only ever seen men, they seem more gentle.. The female, well from my experience, seem to just give off the vibe of, Get over it love, spread ya legs, here comes the speculum!! They jam it right up there like I just take to having foreign objects up my vag easily, and have funny expressions lol.
    Maybe I over think it

male doctors. I found female doctors to be a lot more careless and brusque.

I've only had one papsmear because I'm naughty.I got that done by a female at a sexual health clinic.

The only reason I haven't had it done is because I feel weird whenever my GPs harass me. I know it sounds stupid, but when they nag at me to have one with them, it's like they seem too eager to get in my vagina. It weirds me out and makes me want to not get one done (by them). If I could go to the same place I did originally I would, that's just 1.5hrs away now. lol.

When I had DD though, I had internals (numerous, as I was induced) done by both a few men and a few women. ALL the women hurt. ALL the men did not. Some of the women were a bit 'suck it up, everyone has this done,' while none of the men were like that and some were actually apologetic if I felt uncomfortable (physical discomfort).

Thought I'd prefer females but have found males to be much gentler to be honest
