Default Pap smears - do u prefer male or female drs?

    Hi,
I was just wondering if people have a preference of male or female doctors when it comes to pap smears?

Do you go see a different doctor if your normal doctor isn't the gender you prefer to do them?

I don't care either way but I don't get my gp to do mine as I work with him at the hospital so feel rather weirded out to have him do it

Female. I make a point to go to a female for that kind of thing as i feel much more comfortable.

I will always go to a female gp for pap smears no reason other than Im only comfortable with female GPs....but in saying that a male OB delivered DS and I couldnt have cared less who was down there at that point

Female only for most things, especially paps (based solely on a past experience with a male doctor).

Female unless it's my gynae (who is male)... somehow it doesn't matter with him but any other male no way!

Don't really mind either way. Has always been done by my male gynaecologist so far.
