    Default Melbourne Cup Day!!!

We are organizing a late lunch at our local pub ( very kid friendly ) as they have a back room set up for families with big TV,s so the kids can run around without disturbing everyone else! DS actually won $4000 last year with the bet my dad made for him
so fingers crossed he does it again!!

I'm going to try and get the afternoon off work, so I can watch it at mum's place with her. It's fun to scream at the tv by ourselves

I've told SIL that her babies going to come during the race - just to be difficult.

Im one of those people who dont do anything for it. Dont watch it, dont put a bet on it, dont follow it, dont care. My brother often travels to Melbourne for a boys week and goes to the race otherwise they always do something massive here. We are very opposite.

Off-topic - but how early can you put a bet on? I don't gamble, but its the Melbourne Cup it doesn't count lol. We have a TAB at work but we're not allowed to use that particular one because we're employees. Can I do it the day before?
