We are thinking of getting foxtel & was wondering what are some good deals & good channels to get? I'm into crime shows & tv series plus we have two kids

I suggest you start with the basic package, if you find it boring add on that. We had the platinum package but scaled it back to the sports package, we always end up watching the same channels. If you can you should get iq, it's great to be able to record the favorite shows... You always have something interesting to watch

The deal at the moment is free IQ & no lock In contract for 12months so we were just going to try the starter pack.

I'm not sure of any packages going at the moment but we have every channel with high definition and can record shows. We have a box in the lounge and our bedroom. This is Foxtel through Optus and costs $130 a month. I like crime shows aswell, we watch the crime channel, 13th street, bio channels a lot. We hardly watch free to air tv, only to watch the news.

I have found foxtel has alot of repeat channels on and also lots of channels with absolute rubbish. not too thrilled with it atm. there used to be better shows but lately it's just crap.
