My question is...does HE have all those qualities??? He better make sure he can walk the walk first before expecting his wanna be wife to measure up to his strict standards.

What surprises me is that he doesn't have anything about chemistry in there...what if she has all those qualities and she's a bad lay...darn it! Should have chosen the other one!!!!!

I'm not sure that anyone who can write up a list like that has any idea what chemistry even is!

It was quite clearly stated by the OP that those things were the OP's suggestions to their friend of things to think about, not a list he already had.

I'm confused, how can he be choosing MARRIAGE between two different ladies if he can't be faithful to either?

But I do always love your threads

Oh yeh! May bad! Oh well, OP you need to scratch that list and go back to basics...the circle of life and all that. If Simba can work it out then I'm sure he can. At the end of the day...he needs to start dating one of them and go through the ups and downs of relationship and find out who he's compatible with like the rest of us.

He mind find that that neither of them wants him and he's back to square one anyways.

Sounds like an episode of the bachelor!! Ugh, can't stand that show. What a weird way to choose a wife. Either he loves one of them or not...I'd say he would be better off forgetting them both and finding his true love. Then he won't even need to ask such a silly question of a 3rd party.

    I'm confused too!

Why does this dude want to get married anyway. It doesn't sound like he's actually the marrying kind.

I hope the two women wise up to him and run for the hills!

You're asking us advice on how to evaluate someone's quality for marriage as if its a simple thing to answer. We're not talking about finding a brood mare for goodness sake!

Erm.... Sylvia, aren't‘t you in your 40s? I only ask because I honestly thought people outgrew this type of nonsence after high school. If not, I don't think he‘s entirely mature enough to get married in the first place. Maybe he needs to do some of that growing up stuff first, before he makes a life long commitment to one person.

Unless he‘s in a polygamist relationship. Even then, I don't see why he‘d marry one over the other. It seems it would cause extensive problems in their relationship as he can only marry one.
