    Default Car seats...

Hi all... Just wondering if someone could tell me if it is possible to repair a car seat belt, in the event of say, a dog chewing through one? >[

    Thanks in advance!

I don't know if you can repair them, but check with a baby shop about a replacement harness (either a generic one or one from the manufacturer

    What about from car wreckers?
My partner has an old car that we have done up and have put newer seat belts in the front and back, we got them from our local wrecker

You can get replacement parts from the manufacturer, the buckle on my nieces seat stopped making the 'click' sound so she phoned the manufacturer who sent out another. However they wouldn't send it to the home, they'll only send it somewhere that has a person who is a trained car seat fitter to replace it.

Thanks ladies, do you think the likes of auto one/supercheap auto etc would have them? Its not the harness that is damaged, but the strap that goes through the back to the anchor pt.. So just a straight piece of seatbelt with a clip for the anchor pt on it... Grrr Stupid mutt.

I doubt supercheap would sell them direct to the public if the manufacturers are so strict about only sending them to authorized installers, call your local car dealership to ask if they have an installer (most do) and ask if you can have a replacement part sent there to have it fitted.
