    Default Rice cereal every day??

Hi, I've just started bub on solids and I'm a bit confused. Does he have rice cereal every morning or is it just for a few days then try different vegies? What did you do? Thanks

    Default Rice cereal every day??

We are just going straight to veggies and skipping rice cereal. Will try one for 2-3 days before trying another. Will just do for "lunch" for quite a while unless he gets hungrier....

We are prob waiting until 5/6 months now as I want to do some BLW as well.

Do you mean add the pears to the rice cereal? My maternal health nurse suggested holding off on fruits as they are sweeter, therefore nicer, and might be harder to introduce vegies. Did you find this at all? Thanks

How old is bub? I skipped purees/rice cereal all together - in the first week DS had broccoli, avocado, sweet potato, cucumber, goat yogurt, carrot , banana and beans ! After 6 months you can give them anything ( except honey) if you have no allergies on the family
I gave fruits as well as veggies with no problem at all

Bub is 5 months. I feel so naive but did you give vegies for breakfast? I think I'm confusing myself thinking rice cereal should be for breakfast! Lol!!

    Default Rice cereal every day??

I used to mix it up every 4 days for brekky so he had a variety ( still do!) so either eggs ( 1 egg made omelette style) or quinoa porridge ( puffed quinoa with pear or banana) or pancakes ( homemade with blueberry or banana) or wholemeal or spelt toast with avocado - again my DS was 6 months so your little bub at 5 months would not be able to do that yet but they love variety so remember to mix it up!

Oh my goodness! You're amazing! I hope I can give bub that kind of variety. I'm a little nervous about starting a little early but I feel he is ready. He is a big bubby so I hope I'm doing the right thing. Thanks for your advice

    Default Rice cereal every day??

I did mix the pears with the rice cerial but it was because pears soften the stool.... So he didnt get constipated he also tried veggies too and loved all food. I have no real trouble feeding him now but I tried mixing it with rice cereal for the first month then just went on to fruit and veg and went from there

ETA: he didnt have pears every day maybe every third day, he had other stuff in between, he loved avocado and bananas mashed together and I did give him boiled strained puréed berries when he was 6 months
