People who leave it till after December babies birthdays, Im just curious to know why that is? Is that to make sure the birthday is 'more important' or something?
I have a December birthday and I always got excited when the tree was up cos I know that meant my birthday was close
I would love to put it up early December, but with a 3 1/2 yo and a 1 1/2 year old it will more likely be Christmas Eve!!
As soon as the Melbourne Cup has been run, I reckon Xmas is on! So, I put mine up the weekend after Melbourne Cup. I love having the Xmas lights on in the evening right through November and December.
Wow I think if I put it up that early I'd be soooooooo sick of looking at it by the time Christmas came. We'll prob do ours mid Dec, and it will come down whenever I can be bothered. Sometime in march probably lol
Eta there is a happy birthday sign hanging in our lounge room, it's been there 8m & counting, I'm a bit slack with putting things away

I'm American so I forbid Christmas things until after Thanksgiving (third Thursday of November). We usually put the tree up mid-December, but it was up December 1st last year. It was our first year 'down under' so we needed to put it up to feel like it was Christmas - still trying to get used to warm Christmases so it might go up early again this year
We are doing it on the 5th of November, my daughter chose that date it's marked on the Callander with a Christmas tree
Hope I can hold out the next couple of weeks!! Lol we have already started chrismas craft though
ETA: my SIL has hers up already lol

I've never put it up before December 1st but might sneak it up a week or 2 early this year
We have already started out Christmas craft though
