Sometime after the 1st dec depending on what day of the week that is
We get a real tree so usually not till mid December!
We had a green tree with gold + purple decorations......but then we lost the MASSIVE decoration box when moving. Unfortunately the box had the tree base in it so the next year we improvised and put the base of the tree in a pot full of sand. We went out and bought new decorations, this time blue and silver (DP is a Ford fan and wanted a Ford tree ). Then we chucked out that baseless tree when we moved and AGAIN lost the box of blue and silver decorations. So last year we bought the white tree and blue, silver, pink and purple decorations. Then not long after Christmas DP sister rang and said she found our original MASSIVE decoration box in her garage. Then a few months ago, DP found our box of blue and white decorations......
So now we have 3 lots of decorations for this year Stupidly enough, we were suckered in by Big Ws display..we went in a few weeks ago to buy a $10 kettle and left with a whole heap of Christmas stuff
Usually the first weekend in Dec, depending when we get to pick up our tree. DH isn't a big Christmas fan, so I have a group of close girlfriends over every year to help me decorate (along with cocktails and plenty of food!!). It's become a great tradition. DD is 2.5 now so will also love to help I am sure.
Ours is up Dec 1st usually. If not it is up 12 days before Christmas for the '12 Days of Christmas' tradition from DH.
1st of December here too.
We have to wait at least a few days after our twins birthday/party.
