Haha I'm the same! Last year we used my families old one which I remember having when I was about 5. I'm 24 now lol. It's very threadbare! So will be buying a new one this year. I remember last year we waited to buy one in the boxing day sales but there weren't any! I recall seeing plenty on special before christmas though.

My daughters birthday is the 8th of December so I wait till after that so she has her birthday before we get into Christmas. I try to wait till the 11th December, but it usually goes up on the 9th December as I am excited for Christmas.

It comes down Christmas night or Boxing Day.

We bought a new one last year (white one) and I was shocked with how cheap they are now. I remember they used to be soo expensive, but you can get a decent one for a good price now.

Default Re: When Do You Put Up Your Xmas Tree?

Ours goes up mid-late November. As a kid it was always Dec 1st but i'm too much of a Christmas nut to wait that long!

It comes down first week or two in Jan. :-)

Usually the weekend closest to the first, or whatever is the first Sunday of Advent. I take it down on the 6th of January (the Epiphany).

I don't think we'll have a tree this year, DS will be 13 months old and is into everything. We don't have a playpen or anything to protect it!

Default When Do You Put Up Your Xmas Tree?

Traditionally we always did it on Christmas Eve, but I can't wait that long these days.

This year we will do it on the Sunday (I think the 2nd?) as my parents will be visiting and we will have our Christmas celebration with them that day.

My mum rocks at decorating the tree. I can't wait!

Normally it would go up on the 15th of dec but this year it will on the 23rd of dec when dd1 arrives.
I never been so excited, I keep running around the house singing "DD1 is coming home for christmas"
