These are my measurements for this week. I was so upset because I've "gained" 300 grams since I weighed in at 79.9kgs on Sunday but I also need to keep in mind that I had dinner about 2.5 hours later than normal last night because I went on a 7km bike ride with my husband after doing Rush!

Okay, I hadn't actually added up the measurements before but I've lost 8.5cms this week which I'm pretty pleased with after a couple of weeks of little to no movement! Plus a 1.3kg loss on the scale. I guess it wasn't so bad after all.

Measurement Type Day 1 Week 5 Difference
    Weight 86.0kgs 80.2kgs 5.8kgs
    Waist 99.5cm 87.5cm 12.0cm
    Hips 112.0cm 104.0cm 8.0cm
    Chest 107.5cm 101.5 6.0cm
    Right Thigh 61.5cm 59.0cm 2.5cm
    Left Thigh 63.0cm 59.0cm 4.0cm
    Right Bicep 32.5cm 31.0cm 1.5cm
    Left Bicep 34.0cm 31.0cm 3.0cm
    Totals
    Centimetres lost 37.0cm
    Weight lost 5.8kg

For the people on phones, here's a version you can read easier:

    Measurement type - Day 1 - Week 5 - Difference
    Weight - 86.0kgs - 80.2kgs - 5.8kgs
    Waist - 99.5cms - 87.5cm - 12.0cm
    Hips - 112.0cm - 104.0cm - 8.0cm
    Chest - 107.5cm - 101.5cm - 6.0cm
    Right Thigh - 61.5cm - 59.0cm - 2.5cm
    Left Thigh - 63.0cm - 59.0cm - 4.0cm
    Right Bicep - 32.5cm - 31.0cm - 1.5cm
    Left Bicep - 34.0cm - 31.0cm - 3.0cm
    Totals
    37.0cm lost
    5.8kgs lost

That is fantastic hun. Well Done. 1.3 kgs is huge loss for a week. Be proud of all your success.

Thanks hun, I'm pretty stoked! I'm a bit upset that it's unlikely I'll hit my new goal of 75kgs by the end of the competition but I will almost certainly hit my original goal of 77.5kgs and getting into the "overweight" BMI category.

That will be great to get out of the obese category. You are so close now, you get there for sure.

I have a plan of action for the next three weeks. I need to drink more water because my water intake has dropped to about 1.4 litres a day, I need to get more sleep because I'm averaging about 5-6 hours (I know, I know, people with kids will say that's huge lol!) and I need to try and get a snack eaten straight after my morning workout because I finish that at 6:30am and haven't been eating till after 8, if not 9!

Yeah, I'm thinking a quick microwaved egg or something.

Alrighty, so as you know if you've read the blog, only a minor loss this week on the scales and nothing on the measuring tape. Jenny assures me that plateaus are necessary so I don't end up looking like the Kleenex puppy!
