    Question Post job interview..?

Does anyone here work in HR?

I had a job interview with a very prominent australian corporation last Thursday - the position is perfect for me, I think the interview went quite well although not brilliantly, and they said they'd be in touch either way. I have yet to hear anything.

Im thinking it seems odd... I'm sure they would have got plenty of applicants, but they called me for a phone interview the day after I submitted my application, then called me again that afternoon to ask me in for an interview later that week. So it seemed to me they got the ball rolling pretty quickly but then nothing since the interview!

Is this normal, or should I flick the HR department a quick email??

    Default Post job interview..?

Sadly.... A week is often normal. You might be the first person they interviewed and first rounds with other people could still be going on depending on their and the interviewers availability.

Did they say when they would be in touch? I would always get in touch if a week has gone past to let you know when a decision would be made but I'm sure this often gets left out if people are very busy...

Very frustrating for you - hope you hear back soon!

I'm not in HR but still - I would definitely call, not email. I would simply ask if they have any feedback on your interview (ie don't come straight out and ask "did I get the job").

    Good luck!

I definitely should have asked at the end of the interview.... Silly me.

I think I'll call this afternoon. I'm not feeling hopeful. Bummer, I should have been a shoe in for this role. Ah well.

    Thanks!
