Relaxation music is the best to breath easy when you are stressed. I always do that kind of meditation to relieve my stressed. You can do that also on your own.
All three times I listened to Llewelyn . One was journey to the temple and the other is angel something. only the titles are new age really , but the music is really great to breathe and stay focused.
I know other people have suggested this but....it sounds like a Calmbirth Class is what you are looking for. There is absolutely nothing hypnotising about it...Hypnobirth an American name version but Calmbirth was developed by an Australian Midwife named Peter Jackson. I *think*you can also order the program and learn it and learn it at home but you'd need to disciplined...which I am not good at.
I left the Childbirth class with a CD that had a number of guided and focused techniques that I could transfer to my IPod and used during the birth....as it happened I ended up needing a c-section but the techniques are great for life in general...and some of the other people I did the course with had great success with it...one of them making it through 66 hours of labour with no meds...
