    Default Gallbladder surgery

I'm posting from my hospital bed as I'm having my gallbladder out tomorrow and I'm terrified!! The thought of any surgery scared me. But I've been in here in agony for a week so I know it needs to be done.

Would love some reassurance from other hubbers who've had the surgery. How did it go, what was your recovery like etc??
    TIA

I had mine out in Jan. I was scared too. I had a reaction to the GA and morphine. Was in a bit of pain for the first few days.
Just take it easy and don't do too much. especially lifting.
Remember that after the surgery you will have no more gall stone attacks.
Wishing you all the best with the surgery.

I have some know issues with GA so they just won't give me that particular drug. And I've been having fentanyl for the pain.

I've never had pain like that til a week ago, but always some discomfort and just been feeling generally unwell for a few months. I don't have gallstones, but my gallbladder is quite inflamed and something to do with the way it contracts.

    Default Gallbladder surgery

I had mine out in June and compared to how cr@ppy I felt before hand, I felt ok afterwards. Went home less than 24 hours later and was only on panadol for pain relief. Just listen to your body. Hope it all went well today
