    how odd, I think we dont know the whole story. I often think when I see a child having a tantrum that perhaps they would stop if I went up to them and said something out of the blue like HI, WHAT A NICE SHIRT YOU HAVE!! like snap them out of it, but I never have because I just dont know how the mum would take that... maybe he was doing that just not realising it was coming across as totally inappropriate.

    When this sort of thing happens i made ds say please for the item and tuamotu. So in front of the Dr I'd have said something like "isn't it nice that the Dr wants to give you another one, but that doesn't always happen. You're very lucky. You ask him please Dr can i have another sticker"

    Especially with grand parents that don't see ds often, travelling on public transport a lot, broken marriage and him bring so darned adorable, i need to be adaptable as often people just don't see the harm in undermining my tactics and authority in discipline/lessons.

    Better to give in in a way that is not giving in lol
