Make a batter like you would for pancakes (minus the sugar) add a can corn, salt, pepper and Fry up.

    - Fried Rice
Use Cabbage to bulk it up, capsicum, broccoli, peas etc etc and Rice obviously.
Cook up an omlette and roll up and slice into thin pieces to place on top.
    Serve with Pappadums

    - Falafel wraps
Flat breads (aldi has packs for around $1-2)
Falafel ball mix ( in the health food section at supermarket)
    Tabouli salad
    Lettuce
    Grated cheese

Cook up falafel balls and fold in a wrap with other ingredients.

    - Taco wraps

    - 1-2 sticks celery, sliced
    - 1/4 cup raw rice
    - 200g frozen peas
    - 1 tin condensed tomato soup mixed with 1 tin water
    - 8 sausages (I boil, skin and slice them)

Bake covered for 1 1/2 hours at 180 degrees, add grated cheese on top for last half hour.

So yummy and there's always leftovers.

Love this, only I do it with mini meat balls as DH hates sausages

We just use cheap home brand pasta.
    Big tin of tuna
    And tuna bake pasta sauce.
It costs just over $5 all up.
I bag and freeze it for DHs lunches and it makes about 5-6 bags.
We also make this from scratch, but use 1 tin of tuna, 1 tin of corn kernels, pasta and make up a batch of white sauce. Mix together and sprinkle cheese on the top and bake until it's hot. I find this cheaper than the pre-made jars of sauce.

We have just been through 6 months of hardship, struggling to put food on the table for the 7 of us...so here's a few cheap meals we survived on.

Homebrand family meat pie and heaps of mashed potatoes

Chicken burgers (shop at night when the breadrolls are marked down)

Spag bog/ beef maccoroni...(beef mince is cheap at coles and aldi)

Nachoes (when the ingredience is on special)

Chicken wings- marinated with home made fried rice

    Hamburgers

    toasted sandwiches

When chicken breast is on special I like the chicken tonight jars and with the indian meals I serve with papadums

    sausages and vegies

    HotPot (casserole with rice)

3 for $10 pizzas at woolies (I also go to aldi for their $5 cold meats and add more toppings-mushrooms, capsicum, pineapple etc)

Homebrand garlic bread (aldi one is yumm)

fish, homebrand steak chips and salad

Roast (whatever is on special) on those bake at home breadrolls with gravy

Breakky.... Toast and cereal (homebrand weetbix)

Lunches...cold meat (from aldi) and salad rolls or spreads, fruit.

snacks...popcorn from woolies (12 bags for $3 aprox)
    buiscuts and dip from aldi
I made quite a lot of damper with butter and jam
Puff pastry with vegemite and cheese or (my sons fav) nutella

That's all I can think of atm
