Original for me as well! The new versions of spelling names remind of Americans on Jerry Springer.

    Default Mikayla or Makayla?

I prefer Makayla but if you want micky as nn I'd go mikayla. I look after a Mikaela

Go with michaela. Creative spelling results in a life of mispronouncation and questions, I know from experience Mikayla is the better of your two options though as it will be pronounced correctly at least.
